IUM to PSG

My account was moved from IUM to PSG as others have complained. Yes I was also debited by both parties and it was sorted out. BUT , I now have an accident claim and ... My claim is approved , however , the change from IUM to PSG my excess has changed from R 3000 to R 5000 !!!!!!! I have the original policy schedule on the email from IUM still dated 30 June 2017. The copy PSG have sent me for 2019 shows a different amount ??? I contacted IUM and they pass the buck back to PSG saying they have no access . ????? PSG verbatim copied and pasted ! "Morning sir

Attached is the last policy schedule from IUM before we took over the book, you have emailed me policy schedule dated 2017, so it doesn’t suffice. Excess of 5500.00 will be used sir Kindly let mem know when you taking your car in and I will arrange car hire.

Kind regards,

Chadi Makeketa Claims Consultant "

I did ask this to be escalated and as seen, no concern that there is incorrect information or assistance to resolve this matter was considered.

One can understand teething problems , but dismissive attitude NOT. Still waiting in the dark with no communication . My next step is to send the communication to FAIS Ombud

Dear Stuart  As per our correspondence with you, IUM communicated premium and excess increases to its policyholders during April 2018.  PSG took over clients’ policies based on these policy revisions. The excess of R5 500 is therefore in line with those that app**** at IUM. We recommend that you get in touch with ****emah Se****, the manager of Client Care Underwriting (***), who can explain the policy to you and help to ensure it is still aligned to your needs.
