Complete lack of communication, secondary damage to vehicle, late delivery
My car was sent into Proline Express, a panelbeater selected by my insurance. The service and repair process has been ATROCIOUS. There was a complete lack of consultant-client communication. Although the exterior repair addressing the main concern/damage, which included a damaged right rear-view mirror for replacement, scratched fender and bumper and partially dented door, appears to be done adequately; however, there was secondary damage caused to the interior of my vehicle, specifically the right driver's door frame and window. - there were numerous scratches along the interior that were not present before repair of the vehicle was done - the automatic window on the right driver's side was not fully operational with catching of the window upon rolling it upwards and downwards - upon return of the vehicle on the same day of collection due to the faulty window and scratch marks, the window pully mechanism was corrected, however, the vehicle was handed back in an unclean state with dirt, grime and smudge marks all over the window and interior caused by the repairman of the window - upon questioning of the scratch marks, he merely blamed it on the dirt and grime and tried to explain they were not scratch marks and could not be repaired - the problem was only addressed upon speaking to the operational manager
Further problems encountered: - the repair process was not completed on time; the vehicle was sent for repair on 2019/01/17 and was reported to be concluded in 5-7 working days time. It was only ready for collection on 2018/01/30. - I did not receive communication that the repair process was delayed. I had to phone the consultant personally to inquire about the repair, and was not given a specific time frame as to when the repair process would be completed. Furthermore, the consultant was difficult to get hold of; the sms communication was also not operational so I did not receive call-backs when I sent an sms inquiry as was liased could be done.
Overall experience was poor and I would not recommend services by Proline Express to be rendered to any acquaintance.
Furthermore, the arrangement to send the car back for repair of the damage caused by the repairmen was terrible; there was a complete lack of communication. Yet again, I had to keep inquiring myself instead of getting adequate feedback from the panelbeater, who always postpones the response till the next day or a few hours before business hours end, or even on the day of that the appointment is made which makes one unable to make work arrangements during the week. The service has been utterly terrible and completely unacceptable, with the service providers not acknowledging that they've caused a huge inconvenience to their clients.
