PAMPER CAT FOOD PELLETS

I have owned many cats over very many years and have used Pamper tinned cat food & Pamper cat pellets (amongst other products) for longer than I can remember. On 7th February I purchased 4 x 2 kg Pamper Country Feast pellets at Pick and Pay. When I opened the first packet and put them down for my cats I was concerned when EVERY SINGLE CAT smelled them and turned away. I am part of a feral cat feeding group and I feed daily. I mixed in some of the above pellets with their other feed. They avoided every single Pamper pellet!!?? On 18th Feb I emailed *** explaining my cats' reaction to the pellets and also remarking that the pellets (which I still have in my possession along with the two unopened packets) had a much darker colour than usual. Two days later I received a reply from "Sivan" asking for details of where I bought them etc etc. I sent him all the details requested. On the 9th March I wrote again as I had not yet had a reply and was thereafter told the matter was under investigation. Still there was no request for me to return the pellets which I thought was strange. 6 weeks after my first email I wrote again and received the dismissive, unhelpful and totally unsatisfactory response below. (I intend to find out if the Consumer Protection Council is willing to investigate the products in my possession):

REPLY RECEIVED FROM SIVAN - BOB MARTIN SOUTHERN AFRICA. Kindly please be advised of the below investigation report. We would like to apologize for the delay on the investigation. We checked the processing shift report, and all raw materials used during production, and no deviations occurred during a production run. The retention sample was internally tested for nutritional, microbiological, and mycotoxin (DON and Aflatoxins) analysis and reported within acceptable limits. We attached the internal test report. We also checked the poultry oil FFA level results is 7.78% and the spec is 15% max a material that might cause refusal and found it within the acceptable limits. Our team conducted a thorough investigation, following all standard procedures and ensuring no deviations occurred during production. Here are the key findings: Processing Shift Report: No deviations were recorded during the production run. Raw Material Usage: All raw materials used met quality standards. Retention Sample Testing: Nutritional, microbiological, and mycotoxin analyses were performed. Results were reported within acceptable limits. Please share any additional observations or changes in your cats’ behavior. Have you tried other cat foods recently? Preferences can vary among cats. Kind regards, Sivan The Bob Martin Customer Care Team,
