PSIRA, a lazy, respectless group of servicelessness

Couldn't do worse 1. Spent the last year believing my registration was successful, only to find I was never notified that I had to RETAKE fingerprints.

2. Took unpaid leave from both jobs since 1 can't even cover my rent, to get there, with money I don't even have, just for another "Retake" result that they again failed to notify me about. I called in this time.

3. I sent an email, asking them WHY it's rejected this time, only for a lazy copy-paste response I can easily find on their website:

Please note that if your CRC status comes back as a retake, it means that the fingerprints you submitted were not of acceptable quality. Therefore, you need to redo the fingerprints and resubmit them at a PSIRA branch close to you.

What causes a retake?

> Fingerprints too dark > Incomplete form > Form not signed > Fingerprints not visible (too light) > No SAPS stamp > Fingerprints not inside the demarcated box > Fingers in contact > Ink used not black

Applicants are advised to ensure that the fingerprints are not too dark or too light, fingers must not touch each other, and they must be within the demarcated box. Applicants must also complete all details on the form, and the commissioner of oaths must sign it. A recent SAPS stamp must be on the fingerprints, and black ink must be used.

4. The next day they literally came to my work place, telling me I'm not allowed to work until it's approved. I told them I need the money. Because I need to pay rent cause I live alone, they didn't care.

5. "If I were you, I'd stay home to avoid trouble." Translate this to "Basically we would rather let you struggle without an income and lose everything you own before we help you."

Service? I think not. Care? Even freaking less. But as long as they get money, right?. PSIRA needs new management, or better yet COMPLETE replacement!
