Primi Xpress: Slow service and tasteless Recco Pasta

<p>Good Day.</p> <p> </p> <p>I would like to comment/complain about the food which my friends and I ate at the Primi Xpress in Kenilworth, Rosmead Avenue on the 10th February 2017 at 19:00.</p> <p> </p> <p>We arrived at Primi Xpress roughly around 7pm on Friday night. We were seated and about 5 minutes later a waiter came to take our food+drinks order. We had a halloumi starter which arrived after 15minutes. We then waited another 30 to 40 minutes after our starter for our Recco pasta's to arrive of which we ordered 2x lite and 1x full portions and a Morrocan Chicken Pizza.</p> <p> </p> <p>The Morrocan pizza was warm and we ate it. The Recco pasta's were tasteless and the colour of the sauce was very light. We complained to the manager who tasted with his hands from my pasta dish and agreed that it did not taste right. He sent all three dishes back to the kitchen. About 5 to 10minutes later we received our dishes back, however slightly smaller portions, however the sauce was much more darker, yet the dishes were warm. We started to taste and the taste still was not right, however it was slightly better than before. The manager queried if it was better and I told him it was only a little better. It basically tasted as if the original pasta's were put back into the wok and reheated at a high heat with more cream and left to cool down. It was way to quick to receive a freshly made pasta and tasted like we were given our original pasta's back only with more cream and perhaps spices.</p> <p> </p> <p>We have eaten at this Primi Xpress on a number of occasions and the Recco pasta as well as service has always been amazing hence why we keep going back, however our mindset has been completely changed after our experience on Friday. I am completely unhappy in the way that our problem was dealt with and would like for Primi head office to take this up with the store. Our bill came to over R500 for food which we did not enjoy and no compensation was even offered for the poor tasting pasta's.</p> <p> </p> <p>Regards</p> <p>Mr Francis</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
