Denying and Suppressing Constitutional Rights

<p>Recently I have been given a warning by a Primedia Digital employee representing the EWN Editor that I am not alowed to disagree with religious comments made by other members of the public on what I thought was an open platform.</p> <p> </p> <p>Being a news service using a public commenting system, one would think that there should not be any religious bias, but this was not the case. The EWN editor deleted all my comments relating to a valid discussion against religious point which were being made.</p> <p> </p> <p>This removal of comments and warning is effectively the surpression of my freedom of speech and expression and goes against the Constitution Bill of Rights of South Africa.</p> <p> </p> <p>For a well known news agency, one would think they are supposed to know better. I recommend anybody who is following, listening or reading anything related to EWN/Primedia Digital to seriously reconsider other channels of news consumption, as you would want to know the unbiased truth.</p>
