Bad After Sales Service

The sale went well, the sales guy was fantastic during the deal and arrangements. Our problems started after. On test drive, we noticed the power steering not working as power steering should, we were told it is due to the fact that the power steering pump is electrical meaning that there needs to be high refs for the power steering pump to kick in. On further inspection, it turned out it was due to wrong belts and a failing power steering pump. The owner of the dealership told us it will be fixed. The belts were replaced, but the pump was not. The dealership told us, and as required by law, that the vehicle was serviced before we collected the vehicle, upon further inspection, it was not. The Vehicle was sent back for the service to be conducted, when we asked for proof they sent us video footage of someone pouring oil in the vehicle. Whether this was new oil, we will not know. When we received the vehicle back, the oil was dirty, we were told its because its been driven. The vehicle started smoking a lot, an unhealthy amount, but we were told that that is what a diesel does. We asked them to have the fuel injectors tested, they told us they did have it tested, there is nothing wrong with it. We phoned the company they said they used, the company told us they tested nothing. We sent the vehicle back, we got a short typed out note stating there is nothing wrong. This matter carried on over 3 months, back and forth. We took the vehicle to a third party to have it evaluated and they came back with a list of faults. Upon the last return of the vehicle, upon further inspection, we discovered that the inside of the bonnet was covered with black splatter. Upon removing a pipe from the engine for further inspection, the entire engine inside was covered in a black sludge . We immediately phoned the dealership and were met with rudeness and anger. Dealership refused to take any accountability, telling us he doesn't know what we have been doing with the vehicle and what we have been putting in the vehicle. Please note that the dealership is located in Vereeniging and we are in Kromdraai. This is a good 90km trip. The driver that brought the vehicle for delivery just quietly disappeared. The vehicle was in such bad condition that we didn't start it again. We pushed it to where it would remain stagnant for the next 30 days. We first try to get hold of prime cars again, they refused to take our calls, we then went to the finance institution to try and sort it through them, and they also had a hard time getting any feedback from Dealership. They simply do not want to accept any responsibility. The Dealership then tried to tell the finance company that we had affordability issues, the same company that approved our finance. We have yet to miss a payment. We then took the matter to the ombudsman who also had a hard time getting feedback from the dealership. They avoids any responsibility. Prime Cars sells you broken vehicles and then just simply does not care. Carries on with his life like people are not struggling because of them.
