Worst holiday of my life, at La Cote d'Azur/Premier Private Resort.

Premier Private Resorts/La Cote d'Azur Resort

I am still in a sort of daze/shock after we booked a holiday for Dec 2017 through Premier Private Resort at one of their resorts La Cote d'Azur Resort. When I did complain to Premier Private Resort they more or less had the attitude that whatever La Cote d'Azur Resort offered me was good enough and be grateful!

Let me bring you into the whole situation:- We were booked from 22-29 Dec 2017, peak week, as we were early I contacted them out of decency and good manners to know if we could just come and park the car and sit in the coffeeshop until our unit was available at 14h00, they rep**** that they are having their christmasparty and NO!I was later informed their christmasparty was two weeks prior... When we did arrive at 14h00 our unit was not ready yet, fair I did understand, and then we were allowed to go to the coffeshop and we waited for our unit which was only ready nearly at 15h00 . The reception was not of the greatest actually to be honest everybody was most unfriendly and rude only the entertainment organiser smiled and up to this day I have not seen the manager of the resort. Upon entering our unit: 1. was not ready they were still cleaning it 2. it smelled like rat urine. The following also came to light on completing the inventory: 1. Sittingroom carpet had a stain was wet and had a mouldy ouder. 2. The fridge had a horrible odour. 3. TV had a 'glitch' and only one electrical outlet and no adaptor for the DVD player - here you had a choice watch the TV that is not working (and was not attended to to solve the problem) or plug the DVD player in.... 4. Standing light was rusty. 5. Scatter cushions on lounge benches was torn here and there. 6. Main bedrooms bathroom had a shower BUT you had to be tall and very double jointed to have the water reach you and turn the tap on and off. 7. NO AIRCON - you had to pay an extra fee for that and there was no fans - although on closer inspection a person could see there used to be but was removed. As there was no aircon we had to keep the doors open but at night all doors had to be closed and locked as this unit was on ground level. Everybody who did walk past the unit gauge to see what and who was in the unit and some even walked in!

My youngest daughter was bitten by bedbugs and on the 25th December we saw marks on her face and upon arriving back home we went to our GP who confirmed it was bedbugs. The "seaview" we had was of a dirty unkept pre-cast wall and in the brochure they said all units had a seaview, there again you had to be an acrobat to swing on the balcony above to see the sea or a glimpse there of.

We filled in the customary form on the our departure they grabbed the forms when I requested a stapler to staple all the papers together and was promptly phoned by them on the 30th during the afternoon and a very rude person who had the attitude that I was not speaking the truth and actualy said it to me. Upon lodging a complaint with Premier Private Resorts - which I had to submit twice- their reaction was the resort dealt with the problem so be grateful... Oh yes what the resort offered was a weeks holiday out of season if there was any available! We bought in on the top week of the year and not at the lowest and I am sure we would have got the same unit.

One thing I want to know, for us to go on holiday takes a very extended planning as we do have pets and they have to be looked after which is not cheap, then the traveling by road or air, budget for food and entertainment. I did suggest to Premier Private Resort why could I not be accomidated by them as this is a resort under their management! I had to buy in additional points and I did not buy in at way below cost.

I feel that Premier and La Cote could have accomidated me by offering to pay at least a perentage in cash for the pounts I used and had to buy in.

I am just wondering and contemplating that people still have ethics for bussiness as we are living in a highly competitave bussiness world!
