Very bad service from the Branch and even the call centre staff
I called the PostNet Green acres branch in Port Elizabeth at first to get a waybill number. My first call was at 09:00 and I finally managed to get the waybill at 15:00. This was my fault as my mom had the slip with her in PE that has the waybill notes on it and I am in Pretoria - I humbly apologized to Claudia however I was baffled as they had no records to get me the waybill, she literally called my mom and explained to her where to find the waybill on the slip- anyways…I thought this was it, little did I know the nightmare was just starting. I confirmed my parcel is at the Postnet GreyOwl and I go to collect it, very friendly staff there, however I am handed a package which is as light as a T-shirt whilst my mom sent and paid for 5.4Kg's- The craze part is on the package the weight is noted as 5.4kg's - No one picked this up until I brought it to their attention. The owner from GreyOwl postnet called me and explained they are on the receiving side, so there is not much they can do. I turned to the owner at Greenacres PE PostNet - Aaroon who takes no responsibility for the mess up and rather tells me things like they manually create invoices when they are busy and capture this on a system a day or two later depending…. – that tells me they have no working system in that place. I'm sent from pillar to post between the call center and PostNet PE and up until now, 2 full working days later nothing has been resolved. In addition to the costs to courier the parcel I have spent money on fuel, countless telephone calls and time lost at work. Please do yourself a favor and NEVER, EVER use PostNet Greenacres, you'll end up with regret as I did and a level of customers service will leave you wishing you never made use of their service.
