Very bad service

On Monday 16 October I wanted to send a package to my son in Nigeria. Kim and Wesley was helping me and he mentioned that he is not sure if Customs will allow some of the items in the package. Wesley and Kim phoned Customs to ask if I can send the cigarettes, vape liquid, vitamins, Anti Malaria pills and bank card. According to customs the only item I was NOT allowed to send was the Tabbard Sprays. They agreed on the Bank card and all other items being sent as long as there were proper documentation with it (all slips were included). On Thursday 19 October I tracked the Aramex package on the website and was informed that the package was on hold because of insufficient paper work.

I tried to get hold of Christopher Slabbert, the owner of the Postnet and RNA Stationers but he did not come back to me. The lady at the Postnet shop informed me that the items could not be sent and that the parcel is at Aramex in SA. They also informed me that if I want my package back I will not get a refund and will also need to pay and additional R200 extra.

The owner, Christopher Slabbert send me a mail on the 20th advising that he is investigating. I did not hear back from him until 3 days later when he said that Aramex is sending the package back and he will give me a refund. Today, 30 October, I had to remind him to please let me know when I can collect my parcel from him. His reply was that the parcel cannot be delivered as their are strikes in SA.

I took it upon myself and tracked the parcel only to find out that the parcel is in fact in Nigeria and was delivered to my son about 30 minutes before I received the lame excuse by e mail from Christopher Slabbert.

I am glad that my son received his package and also glad that Christopher offered to refund me, but as an owner of a business you should investigate the customer query and give the customer an honest reply. Not lie about it.
