Shouldn't even be in Business!!

On 10-03-2018 I sent a parcel from the Postnet in Menlyn, where the service was slow but efficient and friendly.

The Parcel was due for Postnet Musina and the delivery time estimated at 2-3 working days.

The tracking went as follows:

Location Date Activity

Polokwane, South Africa 3/2/2018 6:45:00 AM Forwarded to Delivery Office

Pretoria, South Africa 3/2/2018 2:29:00 AM Departed Operations facility – In Transit

Pretoria, South Africa 3/2/2018 2:29:00 AM Record created.

Pretoria, South Africa 3/1/2018 6:53:00 PM Received at Origin Facility

Pretoria, South Africa 3/1/2018 4:06:00 PM Record Created

Pretoria, South Africa 3/1/2018 4:06:00 PM Data received.

Thus on the 2nd, this parcel was dispatched from Polokwane to Musina, and there the tracking runs into a dead halt, Musina office not acknowledging receipt of this parcel.

From the 6th of March 2018 hourly calls to all available numbers to the Musina, Post Net was futile as these numbers were just not answered!

On the 8th someone finally answered the call at just after 8 am, not really sure of client service or how to handle a tracking enquiry, and when I insisted that they write down the tracking number and give me an update on the parcel, it once again became apparent that no parcels were logged into their system but seem to be just dumped and when an inquiry came someone would make half an effort to go and search for the parcel. I was asked to call back in ten minutes so that the gentleman on the other side may have time to go look for the parcel.

After 15 minutes I called back and the phone was answered by a very rude lady named Priscilla that told me she doesn’t know who went to look for the parcel, and she went on to shout at what I assume were co-workers one answered and I could understand that he rep**** he could not find said parcel and I should just claim it.

Priscilla then went on a tirade of telling me how they would not call clients back regarding tracking inquiries and that she needs my name to go look for the parcel again and would call me back, I asked her how this is possible that a parcel can be found by a sender’s name and not the tracking number on her system, to which she rudely informed me that she has the tracking number.

I explained to her that this parcel has been on the route for over a week and must be there and if it is not found I will take steps against her and her branch as I can prove that it was sent to her, whereby she informed me that “ parcels go missing it’s not her problem”

After approximately 10 minutes she called asking to speak to the person that called in, and when I confirmed it was me she told me how dare I give my name since it is not my parcel, and that the parcel had been lying there for days and no one has collected it. I informed her that I will notify the receiver that the parcel is available for pick up, but that no notification was sent to pick up to anyone. And that I will be taking steps against her and the utter poor unprofessional service I received.

After about two minutes she called again to inform me that she could not get hold of the receiver for the parcel at the given number and can I please confirm the number which I duly did, she then asked if I could inform the receiver that the parcel is available for pick-up. I told her not a problem I will see to it she just needs to forward me the confirmation SMS sent to the receiver so that I may forward it again, at that time she told me it is not possible to relocate this SMS at all,

Her service was the absolute worst service I have seen in a post-net in my life, she is rude, she seems to be evading procedures that would ensure safe handling and processing of parcels that runs through her branch, she has absolutely no client s****s absolute no manners, has no business sense and is not using any systems put in place to track and trace any parcels.

I will in future make use of alternative measures of postage and do my uttermost best to defer any and all people from making use of Postnet.

How PostNet can allow a franchise office in this manner is above me, and I do hope that some bright entrepreneur will see this as a lucrative opportunity to claim a profitable market close to the border out from under this franchise’s nose!!
