****** my Refund
Good Day It is in my deepest pain to email you about what happened to My wife and I at your Postnet Victoria And Alfred Clock Tower Branch known as Post Net V&A in Cape Town. My wife and I came to CPT for a week holiday and the Friday we went on the wine trip to Groot Constantia and Stellenbosch to purchase a few Memorial wines so we can share with friends back home. On the Saturday we went to the V&A Postnet to get a rough estimate and I asked Davis branch manager how much 15 bottles of wine would be they advised that it would be around R300 to ship them boxes and bubbly wrap included. I then went to the branch today and was assisted by a junior consultant with packing the wines and bubbly wrap and put in the box once he was done he weighted the goods and the price was R399 for the big box and R117 for the small box and then I asked how much was the total and Davis came to the cash till and added the boxes and the wrap and they he added labour R260 for the 13 bottles and another labour amount for R200 for 1 item and charged the boxes and wrap separate this all gave a total of R918. We then explained that this was too expensive and asked why did they not advise that it would cost that much as I had come in before to get a quote he them advised that his manager said they must charge that amount (R460 Labour) I asked them if they can cancel the R418 for the courier I will take the items packed as they are and when I paid for the packing I noticed that I was being charged R500 for the box and bubble wrap and labour I then saw that I was charged labour twice first for 13 items which was R260 then for 1 item which was R200 I disputed why am I being charged twice for labour then he advised that it is first for packing the wine bottles then for the time he took to pack them. I told him that it is impossible to charge me twice for the same process and I advised that he can cancel everything then Davis instructed his colleague to unpack everything and told us that he can’t give us a refund and then called in the security for the vicinity to take us out of the branch without giving us a card refund after we had asked a lot of times. He was very rude and kept on smiling as he refused to refund us so we had to take our unpacked goods and leave our R500 as he said no to give it back to us we were ****** and it was the worst way to end such a lovely holiday. We then proceeded to drive to the next PostNet branch on Long Street in Cape Town and the consultant assisted us gave us with two small boxes that each fit 6 bottles of wine and total charge for packaging and courier was R564 we paid and left but the day was still spoiled as we had to cancel our dinner arrangements made and beach visits as what was supposed to be a simple trip to postnet was a **************** and insult we were so embarrassed because of the things that Davis was saying and even him calling the security guards to throw us out. This is by far the worst customer experience that I have been given in my life. I asked him repeatedly to speak to his manager or the owner as I saw that he was not reasonable and not able to assist us I don’t believe that I was ****** my money without using a service. Very Disappointed Mr and Mrs Nyathi
