Postnet sucks

On the morning of Wednesday 17 July 2019 I handed a parcel in at Postnet for "overnight" delivery to Cape Town for the amount of R99 - it had to be there by Monday 22 July at 4pm at the latest, so if it was sent out on Wednesday afternoon it should have been there by Friday afternoon already. This was an A4 envelope containing certified supporting documents as requested by a potential employer, thus not very heavy, bulky, or with special handling instructions except URGENT DELIVERY. It had to be certified, thus I couldn't fax or email it to them. When I didn't hear from the employer after the closing date I assumed that my application was unsuccessful. On Thursday 26 September - more than 2 MONTHS after I sent the documents away, I receives an SMS from Postnet informing me that fhere is a package for me with a R100 handling fee outstanding. When I collected it, I saw that it was the documents I sent away - thus I had to pay R200 for absolutely NO service from Postnet.

Just for the heck of it, I phoned the company in Cape Town where I app**** for the job, the HR manager said that the post had been filled by someone less qualified as they didn't receive my documents! Personally I'll never recommend Postnet to anyone ever again, I'd rather use one of the more dedicated couriers even though it may mean that I pay more for their service. But Postnet - you caused me to lose a R60000 per month opportunity.
