Postnet Silverton is a big ****

Please do not sent a valuable parcel with Postnet. Because the Postnet will not ensure the parcel will have a safe travel. In February, my brother sent a parcel which contained a brand new Iphone 15 pro, a charger and some clothes from Postnet Silverton to Cape Town. And 3 days later, I received the parcel which the Iphone and charger were missed. Immediately I phoned my brother then contacted ITT the courier campany which delivered the parcel to log in the complain . And My brother went to Postnet Silverton to report the Theft Case. The manager logged in the complain and ask my brother to wait for the investigation. From the tracking history, I knew the parcel was sent from Postnet Silverton to Aramex Pretoria, then from Aramex Pretoria to Aramex Cape Town, after ITT delivered to me on the behalf of Aremax. The following day, I went with a detective to Aremax Cape Town. And the manager of Aremax showed us the video footage. And from the trip history, he found the parcel which was in Aremax weighted 0.5kg and the weight of original parcel was 0.8kg. As his explaintion, the parcel was travel by the airway. Before it board, it need to pass by Check The Crisis Instrument to make sure there is no any danger goods. And from the Instrument, it picked up the weight, size all the info about the parcel. We provided the information to Postnet, and follow up every second day. But no any respond until three weeks later, the Postnet Silverton said we didn't insure the parcel and they are willing to pay 1000 Rand which it is not acceptable at all. The lady who served my brother don't even mention the insurance. Then my brother opened the case from Police Station, they went to Postnet Silverton, and the workers from there refused any cooperation. In 21 Century, as a International Company, there is no single camera in the store. It is easy for them to ***** the value goods then pay you 1000 Rand maximum off. I just want to share our experience, to avoid anyone follow up ou steps.
