Postnet-renamed to loosenet/don't payback
<p>I send a parcel from Bloemfontein postnet to N1 Value Centre (Good wood _Cape Town). After 7days I've checked with my son and he still didn't receive the parcel. I need to mention that I've never experienced a problem with Postnet before. Upon Enquiry at the he Bloemfontein by branch, the gentleman (I assume in charge) said that it is the customer's responsibility to keep a copy of the waybill. I had to go my bank to draw a statement to proof I was there on 13 March 2017. I was afforded then the opportunity to search for the copy of the waybill and searched their files from 13-17 March 2017 _ I was unable to find a copy of the waybill. I went back the next day and the lady who helped me on the 13th was on duty. She remembered me as it was a red modem which she put herself in a postnet bag. Her colleague also confirmed that she saw me handing over the red modem for delivery. A week went by and I made a follow-up again. I was told they will call me. In the meantime I went to obtain a quote from Vodacom for the modem _ amounting to approximately R825. I received a call from the store indicating that they are unable to assist as a lady from Aramex wants an original receipt. I called the service provider where I bought the modem, and they needed the IMEI number in order to assist me _ which I don't have.</p> <p> </p> <p>The issue is: If I gave postnet a closed/wrapped parcel I can understand that content can be questioned, but the staff remembers handling the modem and putting it in a bag. I have not heard anything from the branch ever since _</p> <p>My question is:</p> <p>_did my parcel ever leave the branch</p> <p>_ why couldn't I find a copy of my waybill in their files _ the ladies couldn't either</p> <p>_ my modem was placed by the staff into the postnet bag_ why must I prove I gave them a modem</p> <p>_ I paid to buy a modem for my son, and </p> <p>_ I paid postnet to "loose" the parcel</p> <p>_ now they are quiet and I must proof I bought a modem</p> <p>_ my child is still a much needed aid.</p>
