Poor service delivery

On the 6th of May we went to our nearest Postnet and wanted to send an envelope with papers to Mpumalanga. The lady informed us that she and her boss (the owner of the Postnet Branch) decided not to make use of the R99 packages anymore as packages get loss and we have to pay R170 for a letter to be send to Mpumalanga. I asked them if I have to pay R170 then is almost the overnight service (which they also don't have here) and she told me no its still the 3-4 days service. I did send an email to the owner which just informed me she is very sorry but the packages gets lost and they got claims from clients as a result thereof. So no solution for me to pay R170 where it could have cost me R99 and I feel it is my choice as a client to decide if I want to take the risk when only paying R99 and not their choice to make a decision for me as to which service they render. They are still a franchise and can't make all these decisions on their own.

Thank you so much for penning your complaint as without your feedback we can never address customer's concerns and issues. We strive to improve our service through this kind of feedback.

Very sorry for our delayed response.

The matter has been referred to the Regional Manager overseeing the store to address with the owner.

Kind regards.
