Police Clearance Pick up

In january, i app**** for police clearance for me and my wife. The two ways fee is 350 per person, so we paid R700. We sent the documents and only recently, i checked to see that my application is finalized, but wife's might not be ready. My visa expires soon and i need to apply for a visa now. They are telling me (postnet) that they cannot go pick up just my clearance as my wife's is not ready. So in other words, if someone is not doing is job at saps to finalize my wife's clearance, i cannot apply for my visa, unless i pay an extra R350 so that they go and pick my wife's clearance when it's ready. This is really some more non sense, why would we pay the fees two distinct people pay to have their clearance picked up at different times to then be told both of our clearance can only be picked up at the same time? How can they even imagine that saps process couple clearances the same day? So unless i pay the extra R350, i cannot have my clearance, because my wife's is not ready??? I strongly advise people to use a different courier for this matter, clearly this is just a way for them to rip us off, so that they do not have to make the extra trip they would make for two distinc people
