Pathetic Service Postnet
We dispatched a parcel from Sunridge Park Postnet to Glenhazel... Overnight on the 24thDesember 2024. We were told it would reach Glenhazel Branch on Friday 27th December or latest 28th December 2024 . It is a birthday gift for the 28 December The recipient is visiting in Johannesburg at the moment. And will be returning to their residence in KZN on 29th December 2024. When phoning Glenhazel Postnet on 27t December, the phone was just ringing. I aske my son, who is on holiday in JHB to drive to Glenhazel Branch, only to find a sign on the door that they are closed until 6thJanuary 2025. They never updated their website to say that they are closed. Sunridge Postnet was also not aware that they were closed, as the website shows that they are open. We then look to see what the status was on the parcel, only to find in transit. I WhatsApp the owner of Glenhazel Branch, Alan Weil and explained the situation. The reply I got was that he is oversees and that he will only be able to assist me on 6thJanuary 2025, by which time my kids will be back in KZN. I also contacted the courier service used by Postnet, Aramex, spoke to Archie, who was very rude and not very helpful. Surely there must be an internal system in Postnet to advise other branches of dates when the different business' will not be open???
We are extremely disappointed with how things have been going with this parcel and that the recipient did not get her parcel on her birthday and will be leaving for her residence in KZN on Monday. I have been a client with Postnet for many years, but this is the last time that I will ever deal with them again.
I tried to contact the General Manager of Dominic van der Host, asked Allan to provide it, but to no avail.
