PATHETIC SERVICE

So, I've sent a parcel with PostNet Secunda on 7 March 2020, for PostNet to PostNet delivery in Rustenburg, on Monday 16 March 2020 the Secunda branch informed me that the parcel was damaged and they will sent ne photos of the damaged parcel, which they did. The custom made mug for a customer in Rustenburg was completely broken. I rep**** to the mail that was sent by PostNet Secunda. I requested that PostNet pay me back for the damaged item, today the Secunda branch phoned me back and informed that they will not reimburse me for the damaged item, because according to them I declined the request to bubble wrap the item. I correct the sales assistant, I was never even asked if I want the item to be bubblewrapped, I was only asked if the item is packed properly. I informed that sales agent who assisted me that the mug is just normally packed. After a bunch of spelling mistakes on the documents, he put the mug box in a bag and put 2 fragile stickers on. On my reply email to postnet i have asked the following questions, which to date have received no response on. 1) Why do they put on fragile stickers? 2) What is the purpose of the fragile stickers if parcels are still being handled roughly.

I cannot hold the customer responsible for the damaged parcel, because after 9 days after the parcel have been sent, she still did not receive the parcel, and the item was damaged while in transit by Postnet. Since it was a custom made item, I will have to redo it and resend it to the customer, while Postnet still made their money and does not really care about other people's belongings, they can do with it what they want because they have already received their money. Now they come with a lot of stories and excuses when they are requested to pay for damaged item and to refund the courier fee that I have already paid, so now I have a loss, due to the incompetency of PostNet.

This type of service is totally unacceptable. I will not recommend PostNet to anyone, and I will also avoid them as far as I can. If this is the type of service PostNet Secunda has to offer, it will be for the benefit of everyone if they just permanently close their doors.

It is one thing to take someone's money for a service offered, but then you would expect that the service are actually being delivered and that Postnet won't rob you and be full of excuses.

Well done PostNet, you have achieved the Pathetic Service Reward.
