Not open on time!
I needed a parcel couriered same day from Postnet to Postnet this morning, and made sure I checked the opening time of the branch I was going to - which was 9:00. By 9:15 no-one had even arrived at the branch, let alone opened the doors. I was the 4th person to leave - which I had to do as I had a meeting I could not be late for. I went to a different branch later in the day, who told me that had I sent the parcel by 9:30 this morning it would not have been an issue, but sending a 10x5cm, 100g parcel overnight at 13:15 (the time then), would be in excess of R1000.<br> <br> Congratulations Postnet on letting me down so comprehensively. It is not the first time but it will be the last - if you are no more reliable than the post office, what is the point of your existence?
Very sorry for the inconvenience and frustration that were caused when our Gallo Manor store did not open on time. It is so that the owner was delayed en route.
As for the variation on the tariff, there would be no difference if the shipment was handed in at 13h00 instead of earlier in the morning. Couriers collect between 16h00 and 17h00 during week days in Main Centres.
