On the 1st December 2017, we requested someone in Pretoria to send a police clearance to us in Mafikeng. The document was then sent out on Monday 4th December 2017.
On the 6th December i called Aramex the couriers and was advised because the document had been received after 4pm the parcel was documented on their system as received on the 4th and should expect arrival by the 7th Dec. I made a VFS appointment for the 8th. On the 7th the document was still showing as being Pretoria. I called again and a very rude agent directed me to the originating Postnet to lodge a complaint. I advised i had no complaint yet but just wanted to know why the parcel had not reached and when to expect it. After a lot of back and forth i was then advised that the vehicle with the parcels had been hijacked so no parcel would be coming and that was that!
I had in the meantime sent another parcel to Burgersfort and had requested overnight delivery and paid the higher fee. A whole 8 days later the parcel is not there. When i called i was advised the parcel eas in Jhb. Then i got another call stating the parcel was hijacked. Now when i called back to talk to the manager im told no the parcel is being delivered. All this in a space of 1hr. I am so angry and will never ever ever use Postnet again. Come to think of it tje overnight fee was even higher than DHLs fee. This level of disservice and laissez faire attitude is disgusting and noone is willing to take blame. I will not let them get away with charging excessive fees and delivering parcels whenever they feel like. Im now thinking anything that cant be located is deemed hijacked by this *********** bunch of people.
