Delivery truck gets hijacked. Dont ask us!

I recently had a parcel delivered from Berea Postnet in Durban to East london on the 23rd of September 2016 (last month) . So seeings that it was heritage day the next day , the parcels only dispatched the monday (26th) so as usual on Wednesday im waiting for an sms for my parcel i get nothing, so i call them after tracking my parcel to no end and they say i must wait till Thursday maybe it will arrive to its destination which is postnet (southerwood branch east london) on Friday morning after going to check if it has arrived i call the Berea Postnet and they (Michelin) tell me that the delivery truck with my parcel had been hijacked the Monday evening already and they didn't bother to tell any of us or me. ! Now i ask the lady when were you going to tell me and furthermore what happens now - her classical answer was that she doesn't know! I'll have to wait till she hears anything from the people above. Now you must realize a week has already gone by. So as im told i wait , so the following week on a Wednesday i call them again and she tells me she still hasn't heard anything but she will push for a response (so obviously im a little annoyed here and i tell her to please potray a sense of urgency cause I've been doing all the calling) . So by friday when I CALL HER she (Michelin) tell s me that they are going to send it to the claims office i need to produce a proof of payment of how much the parcel waa worth, AFTER I CALLED HER! so the lady who i bought the weave from sends through a receit of my payment and then we were back to silence. Up until now I haven't heard anything. So whats the worst part about this? Yes crime happens in SA but im pretty sure its not the first time their delivery trucks have been hijacked, why does the staff know absolutely nothing about the procedure that is followed in such instances? Why is the communication so appalling? Me having to constantly call them all the time and then it seems like they are doing something whereas they're probably doing nothing. There is not even a courtesy call to apologize for the dely...you must just figure it out yourself and practically move on till they decide to compensate you or better yet say anything at all about the whole situation! Wow im so disappointed with POSTNET SA
