Blatant False Advertising
I went to our local Postnet to send 2 items Postnet to Postnet at the advertised price of R99. Both parcels weighed under1 kg each. After the assistant logged the first parcel he asked me for R154, when I queried the cost as it was within the advertised specs he says that it is extra as we are an outlying branch. Nowhere on any of the adverts does it say additional charges can apply for outlying branches it only says allow an extra day for outlying branches. Also apparently you cannot cancel the collection once its logged on the system so you are basically forced to pay.

Our PostNet 2 PostNet model is R99 for the 1st 5kg* and R20 per kg thereafter. It does not matter where the PostNet is located as long it is a RSA listed PostNet store. *The chargeable mass of a shipment is determined by the volumetric or actual mass of a parcel, whichever is the greater. It is a 2-4 day service.
