Bad service delivery by Postnet Sea Point
To whom it may concern.
On 3rd Jan 2020, I sent off a document(motor vehicle original deregistration form), to the insurers, for a claim to be attended to, via postnet. They had to also scan a document for me, which took very long. They seem to have struggled with the scan. It was almost closing time, and the staff was more worried about going home, than to attend to me, the customer, in a professional way.
The insurers now, have contacted me on several occasions to say that they have still not received my document, and they can only attend to the claim, once this original document has been received.
I have been to Postnet Sea Point, three times already, and every time, I must hear that the document is still in transit. It is almost one month, and a document that was supposed to have taken 3-days from sea point to Belleville, has still not been received after 1 month.
I took the document to postnet, because I was under the impression that they are a speedy problem free mailing service.
I was told by postnet, that my document has gone via the post office. No one had told me, that it would go via the post office. I live a block away from the post office, I could have gone to the post office myself, if I wanted to use the postv office, but instead I drove all the way to postnet to send off the document via them. No one advised me of the various delivery options that they have. The document now still have not been received by the recipient.
I was advised by the insurers, to get a duplicate of the original deregistration form, but this is now costing me an extra R175.00, and then R145.00, for door to door. The motor vehicle dept advised I get postnet to pay for it, since I handed the document to them.
I went to speak to the manager at postnet sea point, Mr Patrick Ferreira, email "***", but he is giving me excuses, and not wanting to pay for the duplicate. I was advised by many people that they should pay for the duplicate, since I handed the document to them. more Please help in this regard.
I would gladly assist, should you require more information.
