Bad serveice Postnet and Aramex
Good day On the 30th April 2019 I sent an antique table from postnet Beacon Bsy East London to Durban which was bought at my birth by my mom in 1991 which holds sentimental value and because of its age I was told it cannot be insured for the value incase of breakage which I was perfectly fine with provided the table makes it to its destination broken or not. 3-5 working days came and went around 14th day I called postnet and they contacted their courier service Aramex where they then conducted a nationwide floor search to no evale. Another week went by and I received a call from Angie at Aramex and she said she will have to close the case because of a 5day window of which their cases can remain opened but she assured me she will hand over the case to her manager this was at the end of June 2019. Two days ago almost a full month since she handed the case over I decide to call Aramex where I was then told they cant do anything and il have to take it up with postnet so I did. I called postnet and was told they are not responsible and this is where the back and forth blame game between postnet and aramex began (highly unprofessional). Now I am left R750 out of pocket and without my moms table. My main point is I understand they couldnt insure my table for the value but I should atleast get my postage fee back.Goods are insured for their value not the shipping fee. I am highly disappointed in both POSTNET AND ARAMEX. Once they realized the table was missing feedback from them stopped which was not a nice experience on my side. I would just like my shipping fee back thanks.
