Bad experience using Postnet courier service. Not what I expected.

On 21 November 2023 at 10 29 My parcel was registered at Postnet Mount Edgecombe, I received a whats app Message from my friend who was returning the item to me. The message had a picture of the waybill and the Tracking number is PPA***. I have tried multiple time since Tuesday 21 November 2023 and after 8 hours, to track the item with no response. Finally after 2 days of not being able to track the item I was very concerned and decided to call Postnet using the number I got online, and I have pasted below. Every person, bar the last person, that I spoke to was unable to track the parcel but could not help me. The last person I spoke to took the trouble to get the Mount Edgecombe Branch to call me, and Ryan did call back. He told me that he was waiting for response from the courier as they apparently could not scan the barcode due to damage. I am aware of the 2 to 3 days but I expect to be able to track the parcel to find out where it is and when I can expect to receive the parcel. This I was unable to do and have spend well over half and hour of airtime trying to track the parcel due to A problem with postnet. I have been using Pep stores and PUDO without any issues and at half the price. Thjs time I chose to pay more expecting good service only to have it go "missing" due to a problem with Postnet or the courier. I am aware problems happen, but the way I was wasting time and getting zero response is what frustrated me. I now await response from Ryan in Mount Edgecombe who is waiting for the courier to locate the parcel and give me some idea when I can expect to receive it at the Grove Postnet in Pretoria. Sadly, after such bad experience, I do not have the confidence to use Postnet in future and will return to Pep stores and PUDO.
