I had one of the worst customer service experiences at PostNet Glen, and after reading other reviews, it’s clear this is a pattern. They quote one price, then increase it once the work is done, forcing customers to pay more than what was agreed upon.

Here’s what happened

My fiancée and I went in to get a sticker printed. We sent them the design, the male staff member reviewed and approved it, and then he confirmed the price as R12.50. We agreed and told them we’d be back shortly.

When we returned, he suddenly raised the price to R29, claiming it was for “ink.” I immediately called him out, stating that you can’t just change the price after the fact. Instead of handling the situation professionally, he was rude, dismissive, and tried to make it OUR problem.

I asked him to call the manager. The so-called manager, a lady just as unhelpful and dismissive, came to the front. I made it very clear to her that I was not asking. I was telling her that I was not going to pay a cent more than the agreed price and that I was taking what was rightfully mine. I work in the industry of compliance, and I know consumer rights.

While this was happening, the other staff members were pulling faces, smirking, and even laughing. Their behavior was completely unprofessional and disrespectful. I had to contain myself, because just like them, I’m human, and I almost reacted, which is exactly what their attitude was trying to provoke.

This level of disrespect and dishonesty is unacceptable. Some people should not be in the service industry.

⚖️ THE LAW IS ON THE CONSUMER’S SIDE

According to Section 23(6) of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) in South Africa, once a supplier provides a price and the consumer accepts it, that price is legally binding. They cannot change it afterward. Any attempt to do so is a violation of consumer rights, and you have the legal right to demand the originally agreed-upon price.

This store is *********, rude, and completely *************. If they’ve done it to me, and based on other reviews, to many others, then this is a **** operation.

If you go here, expect to be disrespected, overcharged, and ****med. I will be taking this further to ensure they are held accountable for their dishonest practices.
