Really, really bad service

I am very disappointed in this particular Postnet and would not recommend this branch to anyone.

A couple of months ago I received a parcel from Ballito that I needed to fetch there. I was assisted by an unfriendly and unhelpful woman with a really bad attitude.

So after that I made use of the Postnet in Northcliff and the other one in a shopping Centre on Fourteenth Avenue. Both provided me with good service.

On the 27th of September 2022 I decided to try the Postnet at Cresta Corner again as it is the closest Postnet to where I live. I was assisted by a certain Chris. I needed to make photocopies and to send a letter via courier.

He was quite arrogant, rude and unhelpful and charged my R 70 for 25 photocopies and R 185 to deliver a letter to Pretoria. When I queried the amounts charged he said that was a standard fee.

I felt something was wrong and came back and phoned the Postnet Head Office. The lady there was also unhelpful and said these branches may charge what they want to. Neither she nor the assistant would give me the contact number of the owner.

I returned to the Postnet and the man called Chris then said oh he made a mistake and charged me for printing and not for copying. Still that does not gel. R 70 for 25 prints according to what he now says? Should it not have been R 75 in terms of his calculation? My feeling was that he was just charging arbitrarily and not according to any set price. He refunded me approximately R 30, for charging me for printing and not for copies. He never apologized.

The next day I sent another letter via courier to the same address as the letter sent from Postnet Cresta Corner. This time I sent it from 3@1 Blairgowrie. The charge was R 120.

So Postnet then according to "standard charges" charges R65 more for the same service as 3@1. Shocking and exploitative!

This letter sent from Postnet Cresta Corner on the 27th of September 2022, seems to not have been received, even though Chris claims it was received by a certain Queen on the 28th of September 2022.

I believe that this branch of Postnet should not be trusted, they overcharge arbitrarily and your letters don't seem to get delivered.

The two persons working at this branch have a very bad attitude and are unhelpful.

I will never be going there again.
