Pluxnet Blocking My Fiber Line and Refusing to Provide Service — Extremely Frustrating!

I have experienced terrible service from Pluxnet. For the entire month of July, I had no internet despite paying on time and repeatedly reporting the outage. Pluxnet acknowledged my payment but falsely claimed my service was suspended due to non-payment.

Throughout my time with Pluxnet, they have completely ignored all communication and have no real customer service. Whenever I reported issues, they always said they were sending a technician — who never showed up. On top of that, the internet often suffers outages lasting up to 4 hours at a time, on any given day.

When I decided to switch to a new provider (Telkom), Pluxnet is now refusing to release my fiber line, effectively blocking my new internet service from being activated. They also claim I signed a 12-month contract, which is false — I never signed any contract or agreement.

To make matters worse, they are threatening a R2500 cancellation fee despite failing to deliver any service and breaching the Consumer Protection Act.

This level of poor service, dishonesty, and deliberate obstruction is unacceptable. I urge Pluxnet to resolve this quickly and for customers to be cautious before signing up.

Dear Lebogang,

Thank you for raising your concerns. We sincerely apologise for the poor experience you've had with us.

After reviewing your account, we can confirm that your payments were received, and your line was disconnected in error. Unfortunately, support tickets created during that time were not handled properly, and communication through the reseller and WhatsApp failed to provide the help you needed. This is not the level of service we aim to deliver and take full accountability for the oversight.

We understand you were not informed about any contractual commitment or cancellation fee. We are currently reviewing this matter internally, especially the reseller’s conduct.

As requested, your 30-day cancellation has been acknowledged, and your line will be released at the end of that period. We are also reviewing the cancellation fee based on your experience.

We have escalated your case, and our Call Centre Manager will be in touch with you directly to discuss the next steps regarding this matter.

While we respect your decision, we are truly disappointed to see you go, and had hoped for the opportunity to restore your confidence in our service.

Best regards,
PluxNet Customer Support
