broken tap sold and not willing to refund

I bought a basin tap that cost me R450.oo on the 7/10/2015 at plumblink in promanade, i took the tap home only for the plumber to tell me the tap that i got is of no use as the tap is broken, i took it back the next day only for the salesman to tell me i used the tap already and the more i told him i did not the more he told me i did, i then asked to speak to the manager and explained to him what happened only for him to look at me and walk away with no explaination, what kind of disgusting service is that. the salesman said he would contact me up and till today im waiting for him to contact me, i dont want this tap anymore i just want my damn money back and that i will never ever buy at plumbling again for this bad service. i still have the slip and the tap is in the box.
