Terrible service and quality
We bought 4 drums of Plascon true colour 20lt paint and the next day it started raining and the paint was washing off... we used primer and did all the relevant preparations before painting. This is the 1st time I have ever seen outdoor paint dripping off the wall after drying. Terrible company we contacted them and they said they cannot assist us.

GBVF Mural Plascon Paint Support
Plascon showed up when we needed them most We are incredibly grateful to Plascon for donating the paint that made our Soweto GBVF awareness mural possible. This was a community and creative-led initiative with no budget for paint. Because Plascon stepped in, more than 100 people were able to participate outside Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital, including artists, taxi owners and drivers, hospital staff, nurses, security personnel, community members, older residents and children as young as nine. The mural has since received significant media attention and is being recognised as the longest GBVF awareness mural in Africa. The project has also led to an invitation to Côte d'Ivoire, where the work will be honoured with an award. This is not the first time Plascon has supported our creative initiatives. They have helped us bring murals to life across the country, often simply because they believe in the work and its impact. Without their paint, this mural would not have happened. Thank you, Plascon, for continuously showing up for artists, communities and meaningful social causes.

Plascon cares
A huge shoutout to Plascon for throwing a lifeline to St Mary's Children's Home as part of Mandela Day 2026. Our cottages where over 50 children stay with their house mothers and calls home, were prepared and repainted on the outside. Not only the outside walls, but the roofs were covered with a steel primer and a final protective coat. Plascon blessed this children's home in JHB South with the ALL of the paint required and the equipment to apply it. Plascon played a significant role in extending the life expectancy of the nearly 50-year-old cottages and made them look so good again! Plascon can't change the world, but changed the world for many children.

Disappointing Experience With Plascon’s Complaint Handling
Disappointing customer service and lack of follow-up from Plascon I am extremely disappointed with the way my complaint has been handled by Plascon. I purchased spray paint from a retailer to touch up my vehicle, but unfortunately the colour/result was completely wrong and caused noticeable damage to the paintwork. I contacted Plascon and was asked to provide photographs of the vehicle, the sprays I purchased and my proof of purchase. A complaint was logged and I was given a reference number. A Plascon representative subsequently came to my home to inspect the vehicle. He took photographs of the damage, the products and my proof of purchase. I was advised that I would receive feedback within a day or two. After waiting, I followed up myself. I was then told that I would receive a call within an hour or two, but no call came. I had to call repeatedly — four times — before I eventually received a response, and I was simply asked to provide my email address. What is frustrating is that I have been cooperative throughout this entire process and have provided everything requested. I also clearly explained that I need the matter resolved before the weekend. I am not asking for anything unreasonable. I simply want proper communication, a clear outcome and a resolution to the damage caused to my vehicle. Plascon, please provide clarity on: What is the outcome of the inspection? What is the proposed resolution for the damage to my vehicle? When will the repairs/resolution be completed? Why have I had to repeatedly follow up for feedback after being given a specific timeframe? I hope Plascon will take this complaint seriously and resolve the matter urgently.

Extremely disappointed
I am extremely disappointed with the quality of this Plascon paint. The paint is incredibly thin and watery, making it almost impossible to achieve decent coverage. Even after multiple coats, the previous colour still shows through, which is unacceptable for a premium-priced product. I followed the application instructions and used the correct preparation methods, yet the paint simply did not perform as expected. Instead of saving time, I ended up using far more paint than anticipated just to get a reasonable finish. I have always associated Plascon with quality, but this experience has been very disappointing. I would not recommend this product based on its poor coverage and consistency. I hope Plascon addresses these quality issues, as customers should be able to rely on the performance they are paying for.
