False promises to lure money

I had cancelled my membership with planet fitness around 25 July 2026 due to dispute being on a month to month since 2023 and billing coming to almost R6000 around the 27 July 2026 the Rententions agent Tebogo had called me stating that if I stay renew the contract the old debt would be written of (captured below on email) I had paid the R975 joining fee and also incurred cost to join sanlam reality today 20 August 2026 I get sent an email that unfortunately after signing up paying funds etc planet fitness cannot right the old debt off yet proof of email below. Your reference number is:PFQ-903396
