PIZZA PERFECT DRIVER THROUGH OUR GATE-PIZZA PERFECT REFUSE TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY

We are 4 houses that share one entrance and between us we order Pizza from Pizza perfect Winmore - Moreletapark Pretoria, weekly. The latest event was that when the delivery guy came to drop our order he lost control over his motorcycle and went straight through our gate taking it off the rails, broke the wheels, bent the gate and bent the track on which the wheels run. We had to sit till just after midnight to get the gate in a position to at least close it for the night. The next morning a contractor came out who welded the wheels back onto the gate, bent the gate into position after having to take it off completely and tried to bend the track back into position to the best he could. The wooden planks still broken too. Pizza Perfect Winmore paid for the contractors 4 hour labour that morning even i told them that there will be more invoices as we havent fixed everything as it takes different workmanships. This was end of October. Then everyone went on holiday. Since we came back from holiday we had a weekly issue with the motor on which the contactor replaced the gears on the motor as it was also bent and the gate went fine for another 4 weeks, this now being beginning of December. Then contractors closed December till mid January and everyone went on holiday, after that we had to call him out weekly as the gate wont work at all, we had to put it on manual since. We contacted Pizza Perfect in Jan who took weeks to get back to us (this was not even a full 8 weeks/2 months after the incident), now they come back and say since its 3 months later (WHICH IS NOT TRUE if you take into consideration the time collapsed in between waiting for feeedback on communication. The contractor issued us with a damage report stating that because of the impact on the gate that night the motor will never function to its capacity again and that we have to replace the motor if we dont want callout fees every week. The quote came down to R10700 for the motor and he will install a new track too. Pizza Perfect just says its not their responsibility and its 3 months later even though we told them they must remember that more invoices will follow. The planks on the gate we have to replace ourselves which is also not even part of this quote, but we had to in any case replace them now so we didnt even expect them to pay for that as it was time to fix it and we didnt even mention all the weekly call out fees which we covered as we all worked and needed it fixed to carry on. This is unacceptable. Pizza Perfect definitely lost 4 families business and believe me, we ordered 10 Pizzas a shot some nights with wings and cold drinks and desert pizzas. If they cant take responsibility for their drivers, they must stop delivering pizzas as this costs us a lot now for something that was in perfect working condition prior to the incident. Totally unacceptable and then they ask what does our insurance say, 1 the claim will push up our premium, 2 - even on that there is a co-payment which is not due to our negligence.
