No delivery service

We wanted to order a pizza for delivery but was informed that we should phone back after 30 minutes. Upon enquiring we were informed the delivery person was not there but he will be in after 30 minutes. Refused to take the order before then. Why wait 30 minutes to order. They could've started on the order and by the time the delivery person came there the pizza would've been ready. Why offer delivery service if you cannot deliver. We specifically went into the shop earlier today to find out if they can deliver later and they said yes. Rude person on the phone as well
