Would nt advise using them if you love your car

Pineapple pineapple pineapple I see from others reviews that they've had good experiences with regards to service however that is not the case on my side I am posting this on behalf of my fiance in March we had terrible floodings in Johannesburg on this day my other half was driving the car and the car got stuck in water the car was then towed via tracker who had let pineapple know that the car was In distress, the next day we where informed the car was taken to a BMW dealership and a inspector came to inspect the vehicle all unbanon's to us , when we found out where the vehicle had been towed to we arrange for the vehicle to be towed to a another auto motive BMW certified company, the same company that we have used to do all our services. the same day pineapple had informed us that the inspection on the vehicle and disclosed that is was not REPAIRABLE AND it as written off and we were was asked if we were going to continue with a claim, At no point did we say we put a claim threw , we had then said that we were looking for a second opinion and the company that was looking at it, gave us a quote to say that the car is not written off and that's it was going to cost x amount to fix it. we then contacted Pineapple and told them we were not going to claim that we were going to have the car, fixed at this dealership, the place that was fixing the car then phoned us the next day to inform us that the insurance company pineapple had swnt a truck to come and collect the car from a Auction Company , we then informed them to not release the car and to continue with fixing the vehicle. PINEAPPLE insurance wrote The call off for 280,000 Plus and 2 days later THE Written off Vehicle was returned to us in 100% working order that cost us less than 20,000 rand to fix now the fact that pineapple went out of their way to firstly get the car towed, and assessed without us putting a claim through also for an auction company to come and attempt to collect the car without our permission, left a very nervous and unsafe feeling and it seems very underhanded and ******* and has led us to believe that some way between the BMW dealership, the inspector and the auction company as well as pineapple they were trying to get the vehicle taken from us to pay us out and use the vehicle or make a little bit of money off of this vehicle. I personally would not recommend pineapple to any company or any home or any private person and feel it my personal obligation to inform people to be very, very weary of pineapple insurance whom still to this day is still trying to debit us for our account for installments after we canceled our insurance with them . A person is supposed to feel safe with their insurance company not feel that they trying to be ****med or have their personal belonging ****** from right underneath them
