Please bring my car back Please!!!

I have been insuring my car with Pineapple for over 4 years without ever claiming. And I logged a claims last year October 2024, because someone bumped my car at a school while my wife was fetching our kids. It took 2 months for the claim to be approved, also because I just kept following up.

Then I had to take my car in for repairs 28 Jan 2025. Two weeks later I was informed that they writing off my car and that they need to come fetch my NaTIS documents and spare keys. This was strange because the car is fully paid (ie not financed), and the damage is really just a door, which opens from the inside only. I told them I do not intend to give away my car, and I will fix it myself if they do not want to fix it.

It’s as if my statements are falling on deaf ears. Every week I get a call from some person wanting to come fetch my spare keys and NaTIS docs. Almost as if they have already made a deal and gotten rid of my car which I own.

As we speak, it’s been over 2 weeks, they have held my car hostage. I have even begged them to just give me my car back and not even pay any claim, I just want my car back. They have no intention of doing that. This is very strange and very alarming. How can they just take my car. There has been no outcome of claim, no values communicated to me; only communication I’m receiving is that person who keeps calling wanting my spare keys.

At this point I just want to go to the police and open a case of car theft or something. They literally want to take my car and sell it for profit in broad daylight.
