Pineapple Insurance is underwritten by the infamous Old Mutual.

When signing up with Pineapple, please note that they are now underwritten by Old Mutual iwyze insurance so the fine print has changed. Look into the news as you’ll see what Old Mutual insurance is being accused/investigated for.

Also, if you have been with them before they changed underwriters like myself, read your contract again. For cellphone insurance, they don’t cover car jamming. They literally want to see your car damaged in order to take you seriously.

I waited 2 weeks without a phone, only for them to reject my claim due to my car not having forced entry. When I emailed their objections email they had on the letter, it bounced back. They gave me the wrong email address twice. No waiting to see if the 3rd one works as I still have no answer from them.
