Pinapple Insurance

This year I took up insurance with Pineapple for a new vehicle. Part of the insurance was that they would install a tracking device to measure kilometers travelled, the idea being that if you travelled less than a certain amount of kilometers you would be rewarded. What they conveniently do not tell you is that when you cancel your insurance with them you will automatically subscribe for a three year contract with Tracker where they will debit you every month. I have now received a letter from Tracker stating that they have suspended my account (remember I am no longer using the service)

This is an absolutely disgusting practice. I would not recommend Pineapple because of this shocking manner in which they conduct themselves. They intentionally mislead people into thinking that the tracking unit is to reward drivers when its to trap you for a three year commitment AFTER you switch insurers. Do not install the tracking unit!!!!!!! It's a trap!!!!
