Never use pineapple

I had a fender bender in Feb2025, i drove it for 2 weeks more as the car was fine to drive. The ONLY damage was on the body, engine was perfect. Pineapple sent me to a panel beater, who's quote was excessive and so my car was written off. But I was not informed of this directly, the car was towed to an Auction Nation lot an hour away. When I called the Panel Beaters to get a progress report I was notified, when i called Pineapple, they didn't know this was the case, it was not logged into their system as yet!!!??? Then after 4 weeks of asking for the exact buy back cost, it took 4 weeks for this, and still i couldn't have it because the car license had now expired. They also stopped the assessment process so I had no way of knowing what exactly needed fixing, so I couldn't even get a private quote from the panel beater. The car was towed in pieces, not reassembled so if i wanted a quote it would have to be reassembled and then who knows if there was no tampering in the almost 3 months that its been there.
