Horrible services
Horrible services On the 3rd of December 2024 I wrote my review on hello peter regarding the most horrible service I’ve ever received from an insurance. Pineapple insurance reacted to the review and made it seem like they were sorry and are willing to redress their poor service however, that yielded no results to date as usual. I have waited for Pineapple insurance from June 2024 to date to pay out on the claim outcome, as was indicate on the email they send me after my car accident. I finally started to follow up on the progress of the pay out in October 2024. It was a very appalling experience I would never wish on anyone. Firstly you cannot contact their customer service or finance department directly, you can only go through the claims department which will only result in escalations through email with a turnaround time of 24hours however, in reality they will never ever contact you. I have spent over a R1000 on follow up calls to date. The best thing you will ever hear from them is “sorry, I will inform the manager”. When you request to speak to the manager, they are either in a meeting or not available. I was assisted by several people with no success from Nakedi Se***o, Thandeka, Philisile Skhosana. Boitshoko and Yvone promised to take over the matter and handle it, of which they failed dismally on October 2024. The amount they request for a pay-out was incorrect and was therefore rejected and they didn’t bother to give me feedback. Palesa Motshoari was then assigned to handle the matter as the supervisor, not only was she *********** along with her stated colleagues, she had no remorse whatsoever. The first request she made to resolve the matter resulted in mistakes. She further confirmed on call that I am not eligible for any pay out, only to later retract her statement on email stating that I am eligible for a pay out of R25900,60 and that I will receive the amount within 10 to 14 working days on the 11 December 2024 to date I haven’t received it. I followed up on the 24, 27 and 31 with no success and eventually got hold of another agent by the name of Glenda who informed me that Palesa’s request for pay out was rejected and she did not bother to follow it up and redress the matter. Glenda also stated that Palesa and Boitshoko are currently on leave, and she must wait for any of them to come back so that she can take over the matter. Clearly Palesa and Boitshoko went on leave with the company, I wonder what will I be told if they would decide not to come back. I have already made a complaint with the company; trust me they have the worst turn around time. I sincerely wouldn’t recommend this Pineapple insurance to any customer, if I was suffering from a mental condition, I would be having a mental breakdown by now from this experience. I’m not sure whether this is the service that is given to black people or its their standard service. Few highlights: the Pineapple insurance advert should go like this “No sense of urgency, more than 7 months Turn around time, Incompetence at its best, our best failing solution is escalation” Even a government department would have done a better job.
