Don't take premiums if you don't have proof of the product that you are insuring

Pineapple insurance makes it easy to take cellphone insurance or any other insurance for that matter and they debited my account for 10 months and increased the premium without checking whether I had the phone or not but when my phone got ****** and I wanted to claim they want proof of the phone. They are willing to take the premiums but can't process the claim or at least return my premiums.
