Claims

I am extremely frustrated with the service I have received from @PineappleInsure and @iwyze regarding my claim. I submitted my claim two weeks ago, and only last Friday, I was asked to provide an AR report from the police, which should have been requested by the insurance company in the first place. This delay is entirely on you.

After 16 days of back-and-forth with no clear communication, I was finally told that I would receive feedback today. Instead, the senior claims assessor called me to inform me that there is yet another delay due to my previous insurance cover, which is somehow affecting my current claim.

This is absolutely ridiculous and completely unacceptable. At this point, I’m left wondering if I should just fix my car myself, as it’s becoming painfully clear that both @PineappleInsure and @iwyze do not want to pay out my claim. The lack of professionalism, transparency, and communication throughout this process is beyond frustrating.

On December 17, 2024, your Senior Claim Handler informed me that I would receive feedback by the end of the day. However, later that day, I received a follow-up call stating that the process would be delayed further due to discrepancies regarding the duration of my previous insurance coverage. I am unsure how this issue impacts the validation of my current claim, as it does not seem directly relevant. If necessary, I am willing to provide additional supporting documentation, such as my bank statements, to confirm the details of my previous coverage. However, I find it unfair that the claim process is being delayed over this matter, especially when it does not seem to directly affect the validity of my current claim.Additionally, the claim has been going back and forth between Pineapple and iWYZE, leaving me uncertain about who is actually handling my claim. This ongoing confusion and delay have been incredibly draining and frustrating. You keep saying, “We will investigate,” but that is not enough. The senior claim handler should be done with the validations by now. What more do you need from me?
Today marks the 18th day without my car, and this is costing me money. Keep in mind that the panel beater still needs time to fix the car, and these delays are not helping in any way. We are now entering the third week of this process.

I hear my claim is now finalized and approved.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your efforts in resolving my claim. It’s been a lengthy process with numerous communications, and I truly appreciate your patience and dedication throughout. A special thank you to Monica Botha from Pineapple and Bianca Pretorius for their support and assistance. I know I’ve sent quite a few messages, and I’m extremely grateful for your attention to detail in getting everything sorted. I’m hopeful that the panel beater will expedite the repair process so I can have my car back as soon as possible. Thanks again for everything!
