Are you selling insurance or are you selling vibes?
My experience with Pineapple has been incredibly disappointing and disheartening. I claimed more than two weeks ago, and since then and it’s just been… silence. Nothing at all. I sent a message to follow up last week, and again, just silence.
We get insurance to give us peace of mind and easy transition for times when things go horribly wrong. It’s heartbreaking to have your house broken into. But it’s even more heartbreaking to have your insurance company simply ignore you for more than 2 weeks while you’re trying to get back on your feet. I'm relieved that I’m not claiming for essential items that are crucial for my daily functioning because my life right now would have been an absolute nightmare.
Today, I get this message: “Hi ****** How are you doing . My name is ****** .. Please note I will be your claims handler”.
That’s it. Nothin more. No update on my claim. No info. Nothing. What, do I have to beg for more info? More than 2 weeks after I submitted my claim and it seems like you’re only getting started on it now? So nonchalantly at that.
I know how this goes. I complain here, my claim gets escalated, I finally get the help I need and we all move on with our lives and live happily after. But why do we have to do this dance? Why do I have to complain first before I get the service that you promised?
I saw many reviews complaining about the same thing. But one review that struck me in particular, was one totally unrelated to this. The review was from someone who actually isn’t a Pineapple customer. They said that they mistakenly filled an online form with their number and that you’ve since harassed (their words) them by calling them 40 times. They said they receive at least 4 calls from you daily. Oh how I wish one of those calls was to me.
