Worst moving company ever

<p>We recently moved from Pretoria to PE. Unfortunatly the company I work for chose Pickfords, I didn't want to use them as I only heard bad things but I thought how bad can it be? It started by them arriving late, with not enough boxes, no special boxes for the clothes, and they totally underestimated our house, so everything was rushed. We even had to help packing otherwise they would have never finished in time even we paid for packing and unpacking. They ill advised on the insurance and what it comes down to is that you have to basically specify from pens to furniture and plants, so you should take 2 weeks leave and specify everything you own and do not group them as they will just devide it. We claimed for 32 000 damages and they will pay 6500.</p> <p> </p> <p>My wife's porcelain dolls that was in the family for 3 generations is broken, and because it is not specified no pay. There is even stuff that we cannot find at all.</p> <p> </p> <p>Unpacking by Pickfords is regarded at taking everything out of the box and dump it one spot for you to repack them, move it and unpack again. We took pictures of it and even found a brick, rock and cloth wrapped and packed except your valueables you wanted on the other side.</p> <p> </p> <p>What is comes down to, do not use them, be wary of the insurance and ask as many questions as possible as they do not tell you about the fine print.</p> <p> </p> <p>Even Tray International that handles their claims is useless. So from bad to worse!</p> <p> </p> <p>So rather pay the extra money and make use of Stuttafords as they will make sure you are moved everyone wants to moved. </p>
