Pickfords Shirks Responsibility for Damage

I used Pickfords to move my furniture and other belongings on 7 September as I had sold the property and was moving out of town. Little beknowst to me, the movers had damaged sections of my wood flooring and I only found this out when the agent handed the keys to the new owners.<br> On contacting Pickfords to inform them of the damage, I was told that because the 7 days had elapsed, they were no longer responsible for any damages although they were the ones who caused it.<br> <br> I feel that Pickfords should at least have considered the circumstances for the late reporting which was because I was out of town and had no way of knowing about the damage. Instead, their stance is it is not our responsibility.<br> <br> I will certainly never use their service again.
