Pickfords Durban abysmal service

We used Pickfords Removals several times before, and were very happy with the professional and careful service.

However, our goods were re-delivered from storage in December 2022.

We arranged with Pickfords and our complex for access for a 3.5t truck, but on the day Pickfords sent a 10t truck which could not get acceess, and they arranged a shuttle, which caused severe delays, damaged and missing items as the goods were unwrapped in the parking lot outside the gate then shuttled to our home.

Prior to the re-delivery Pickfords declined our 2 x requests for insurance for the re-delivery, and now they refuse to compensate us us for the missing items, and of top that demands urgent payment for the shuttle service - caused by the oversized truck, and the very cause of the damaged and missing items?

Please assist in resolving this issue which is causing more financial and emotional hardship to an elderly couple already under severe stress by the crime, floods and economic situation.
