Wow. So disappointed.

I went to Pnp as I always do. Didn't need anything major, just juice. <br> <br> Got a 3l take 5 and before paying thought I'd like a packet pf chips as well so went and hastily grabbed a packet of Tomato Sauce Flavoured Simba Chips.<br> <br> I have never been concerned with freshness at Pnp so I didn't think to look at the expiry date or best before date as some would prefer to call it, paid and left.<br> <br> Had some of the chips in the car on the way home and they didn't taste as fresh as normal so the next rational step for me was to check the expiry date. I do not recall ever having to do this at Pnp and I was disappointed to see and believe that the date had been intentionally rubbed off possibly because the product had sat on the shelf fo too long, which is the only reason I can link the two occurrences to (perceived lack of freshness + no date to assure me that this is not the case).<br> <br> I held Pick 'n Pay in high esteem when it came to freshness and I am extremely disappointed and have been mildly put off by this.<br> <br> I feel that small things like this affect the reputation of a brand as big as Pnp is and should be addressed. Will probably shop there again, will just give myelf time to check the date.
