Worst shop In the world.
Pick 'n Pay Jean Crossing. While I have had bad, very bad service from the branch in the past. Today, 12 January, has the potential to be the very worst experience any human being needs to go through at a shopping store. As we walked in, at the entrance trolleys and shopping baskets strewn around like there had been a bomb-threat, but no matter, Onwards! The fresh food looks dismal, probably edible, but dismal. Garlic, great, they have some that is not in the 3rd stage of space-travel-dehydration, the ones in the cling-wrap and Styrofoam look great, but 4x the price, ***** that, the store management would have to kiss my naked ass until damp before that happened, but, that was also an impossibility, as we were to find out later. So, out of a pile of rotting garlic (yes, everything had a deep shade of purple, and not the healthy kind), we manage to get two, more-or-less-ok bulbs (more on this later)... ah, but wait, MY KINGDOM FOR A PLASTIC VEGGIE BAG! Not one, but EVERY SINGLE bag dispenser is not only broken, but missing a roll of bags. Every. SINGLE. ONE! Myself and a few customers, discover a roll of "stuff" presumably, that can be used for a bag... Now to find someone (in what I would call a moderately busy store), that could ring it up for us. Desolation. Not only is the Manager's cubicle empty, but not a soul to be found in the fresh food section. Ah somebody to help us!, Letting his pallet of whatever (veggies, on boxes I think), go, and literally crash into the stand (as in, everyone looked up to see the commotion), our Hero priced our garlic. Great. now back to the "roll-o-bags" at the potatoes, we now need tomatoes. Desolation, part.2 Manager? Invisible. Again, the group of people throwing back the veggies in the newly-discovered bags, amounted to about 10. But thankfully an employee was sighted, and corned into bagging our veggies. Victory! Next, a Biltong special! Great. after waiting 5 minutes, we went looking for the manager, who was, again, missing in action. I asked where the intercom room was, so that I could call the manager and ask for someone to come to the biltong stand. After I returned to the biltong stall, I found the gloves, and began tasting-the-wares (handfuls at a time) until someone came storming along to help me. Wow. This person was just... stared at the biltong and after 3 repeat insctructions ... attempted to use the biltong machine. To cut a very long story short, we got 1 piece of solid bilton and a bag of sliced biltong. The hourney was uneventful until we got to the till. Remeber that Garlic? Rung up at R999/kg, that's right. R150-odd for 2 cloves of garlic. The animated humonculous who "helped" us, had no idea of what he was doing. Telling the Till-lady to let go of the bad (since I was, once again, on the war-path to the manager) he brain interpreted "let go" as "grip tighter", I do not know how, after sking 3 times she couln't understand this, the bag ripped. No matter. Finding the Manger's station devoid of human occupation again, I took both garlic cloves, and with a thow, worthy of a deep-fielder at The wanderers, succeded in puncturing 2 bags of braai charcoal. Let's not forget the row of people in front of me seeing me doing this, all waiting on a manager. Liquor-store-stop and we discover PnP managers were NOT IN, THAT DAY. NONE OF THEM. PnP Must **** off if they think they are going to contact me regarding this. Nothing short of cancelling my shopping bill (including the liquor-stop) and refunding me double, will ever be able to even begin to pay apology for what we experienced. The best part? We had to pack our own bags. you Read correctly. The Missus packed our own bags, and the store-staff, had no problem, in standing around, watching her do it. Your shop is a joke and no sane human would ever shop there in their right minds. DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS UNLESS YOU ARE GOING TO REFUND ME DOUBLE. Cashier: Gerogina.
