Win a Car pompitition William Moffet

Doing a quick survey and information session about Pick and Pay.

William Moffett Pick and Pay had a win a car competition spoke to numerous people with their front door out of action and their alterations who saw the terms and conditions.

Long story short my name was drawn to win the car but I was not there. I was told I forfeited the prize! I am not bitter Congratulations to the winner of the car.

I entered the competition when the front door was not working. When I wrote my name down they the information desk asked for my number and they joked about putting Shane Tessendorf number down if they can't reach me. This is very concerning as they never intended phoning me. POPI act is no act apparently. There must be CCTV footage of all this.

I went to go speak to management as I have been ignored and told no manager is on duty. Last Saterday Shane and myself went there and was smirked at and they tried to humiliate us by saying they had attorneys etc.

The manager, Dave smirked and had no compassion when I said that I am traumatized about this entire scenario and that it has affected me so badly. He and another manager, said that the terms and conditions stated that one must be present on the draw date. I then stated that there must have been over 20 000 entries, and how does a centre expect everyone to be present (especially during the Covid pandemic). Sarcastically, he said that there were probably more than 20 000 entries. Anyhow, the store manager said I must contact customer care. Customer care quoted the above and addressed no public concerns as below.

I am a commercial broker and I know that Pick and Pay has reduced their space and they allowed 4 parking’s per 100sqm the new shop size is 11 000 sqm 440 parking’s spaces. With the competition forcing attendance just out of Covid pandemic of over 20 000 entries with not be enough parking spaces to host such an event, being inconsidering to other paying tenants in the retail park. The entire complex has about 2400 parking bay not even enough for all the entries to park and attend.

I am also going to get in contact with the Municipality and the department of health to enquire about the municipal by laws and health implications considering Pick and Pay forced their clients in a very unhealthy situation with Covid very much still around.

I’m totally disgusted that this has happened to me and this is how Pick ‘n Pay run there competitions. The public must be made aware of this as this is a tally unacceptable situation being that it’s in considered and has put pubic in danger
