Waste your time in order to get you to give up as it becomes to costly
Pick n Pay are proof that big business is pure evil and only demons have control on planet earth. They offer you specialized discounts (quite often ambiguous) which only work 3 out of 5 times. And then waste so much of your time to correct it, if you bring the mistake to their attention, that it does not make it worth complaining about, which is obviously what they are aiming for. I was once asked to come back the next day to sort out a R1.70 discount on crisps. Generally they refund the amount, after making you queue at customer services, and wait for the other people to use it as a till point. But the latest is that they make you wait while they phone someone (10minutes) who then tells you to somehow email them the copy of the offer and the till slip. This for a R10 discount on chicken pieces, while complaints of your frozen goods defrosting while waiting for them, fall on deaf ears. The manager is off somewere chating up the locals or looking suave impressing his mates. The amount of incorrectly or unlabelled stock or timeous resolving of mistakes no real concern of its.
